Plymouth has got amazing wreck and reef diving.  Local highlights include:

​HMS Scylla was Europe’s first artificial diving reef when it was sunk in 2004. She lies upright on a sandy sea bed of about 23m. Top depth is about 9m. She is 113m long and 13m wide.

The Scylla has settled nicely into the environment and is well colonised by marine life. Having been positioned and prepared with divers in mind she makes an amazing dive.

The James Eagan Layne  was hit near the Eddystone reef in 1945 and having rested on the seabed ever since is covered in marine life.  24 m to the Seabed and 10 m in shallow areas makes this is a perfect recreational dive.
