Details

Plymouth has got amazing wreck diving and the chance to snorkel with Blue Sharks.

Blue sharks are super inquisitive and will come right up to you, meaning you don’t have to leave the surface to get face-to-face! Therefore we snorkel with the sharks and not scuba dive. The sharks usually put on such a good show, that if you don’t want to get in the water, they are still a great sight from the boat.  In Deep have averaged over 90% success rate of finding the blues. and have an experienced shark expert to help.

HMS Scylla was Europe’s first artificial diving reef when it was sunk in 2004. She lies upright on a sandy sea bed of about 23m. Top depth is about 9m. She is 113m long and 13m wide.

The Scylla has settled nicely into the environment and is well colonised by marine life. Having been positioned and prepared with divers in mind she makes an amazing dive.

The James Eagan Layne  was hit near the Eddystone reef in 1945 and having rested on the seabed ever since is covered in marine life.  24 m to the Seabed and 10 m in shallow areas makes this is a perfect recreational dive.

We have a hard boat ,with a lift and toilet, courtesy of In Deep to take us out for 3 days.

In Deep are a well established dive centre and have great boats and experience.

All diving and snorkelling is, of course, weather dependent.
