We had some really good dives including 4 dives on the wrecks of Abu Nuhas, 2 dives with dolphins and lots of lovely reef dives with all the usual inhabitants plus the biggest octopus we've ever seen! Hard hat and recompression chamber dive - Feb 2013
We had a great day trying out the old fashioned hard hat dive gear and also doing a 50 metre dive in the recompression chamber at The Diver Training College in York. The full kit weighs over 12 stone and is hard work. Thank goodness dive kit has moved on!
A really good day and definately one to be repeated. |

The pool is open! Sat 1 Sept 2012
It's taken a lot of hard work but the pool is now open and ready for business! Huge thanks to everyone who has been involved in making it a reality, but special thanks to Kevin for all his efforts in the last month, Mark and Josh for the ventilation and extraction system, Andy and Mike for the scaffolding, David for the wall and ceiling coverings, Andrei for the electrics, the plumbers for all the showers, drains etc and everyone who helped with the excavations at the early stages. Thank you everyone! We're having an open evening on Monday 10 September,7pm onwards, for everyone to come and see it - and have a dive if you like. |

October 2011 - Borneo and Sipidan
An amazing dive trip with some great dives on Mabul and Sipidan. We saw huge schools of jacks and barracudas, lots of turtles and loads of nudibranchs, crocodile fish, scorpion fish as well as leaf fish, mandarin fish and frogfish. We also went to the Orangutan and monkey sanctuaries and Selingan Island to see the turtle hatchery where we saw the female turtles laying eggs as well as hundreds of baby turtles hatching prior to being released into the sea. All rounded off with a day in Kuala Lumpur. Thank you everyone for coming and to Smart Divers for looking after us so well, and to Scuba Travel for organising the trip. |

30 April and 1 May 2011 - Rescue Diver course
Congratulations to Robyn and Andrei for qualifying as Rescue Divers. A tough but challenging course, so well done for a great achievement. Well done also to Divemaster Trainees Mel, Lou and Nigel for passing their Rescue demonstrations. Many thanks to Marcus and David.
