Dry Suit Speciality

Course Name Dry Suit Speciality

Overview If you want to dive in colder water you'll need to stay warm and that means a dry suit. This course trains you in the proper techniques for safe dry suit use and helps perfect your buoyancy in a dry suit. You'll also learn about dry suit repair and maintenance.

General Content The course is made up of confined and open water sessions. You will learn:
  • How to safely ascend and descend in a dry suit
  • How to safely use a dry suit, considerations, potential problems and how to overcome them
  • How to manage your buoyancy in a dry suit
  • How to look after your dry suit.

Requirements
  • You must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or have an equivalent qualifying certification).
  • Minimum age is 10.
  • A PADI Medical Questionnaire must be filled in prior to the first confined water session.

Knowledge Development Similar to many PADI courses, the dry suit specialty course is a self-study course. You'll receive quality training materials from PADI, specifically designed to teach you what you need to know. Classroom sessions with a qualified PADI Instructor will ensure that you fully understand the information. Knowledge Reviews and a short test at the end of your theory session will confirm your understanding of the material.

Confined Water You'll complete a Confined Water session, in order to learn how to use a dry-suit safely and properly, ready for your Open Water dives.

Open Water You'll complete 2 Open Water dives in one day.

Included PADI Certification fee
Full Equipment hire including drysuit
All pool and theory sessions

Cost £125, or £75 if combined with another course.
