Beach clean and shore dive - Sat 18 Sept
We're doing a beach clean on Weybourne beach followed by a shore dive on the wreck of the Rosalie on Saturday 18 September. Everyone welcome but please let us know what equiment you need if you are diving and do call to check it's going ahead depending on the weather. See the Whats On page for times.

Rebreather try dive night - Wed 1 September
Poseidon are bringing their new rebreathers for us to try in the pool on Wednesday 1 September. It is £30 per person which includes all equipment. There are just 8 spaces available so please call to book your space. |

Sharm el Sheikh - September 2010
There are still spaces left on the dive trip to Sharm in September which is always a great trip and is only a couple of months away so if you are interested please call now to book your place. Southern Red Sea Liveaboard - June 2010
The group had a great time diving the amazing reefs of the Southern Red Sea and saw dolphins, sharks, turtles and loads of beautiful reef fish. All from the gorgeous Grand Sea Serpent. Thanks to all her crew for a great week, and roll on next year! See the trip photos on the Galleries page.

Cocos Island trip success
We had a great trip to Coco Island, off Costa Rica, in June, diving spectacular sites alongside Hammerheads, Galapagos sharks, hundreds of whitetip reef sharks and a 4.5 metre tiger shark! See the Galleries page for the photos for the trip. |

Boat Launch
The CSS dive boat had its first Norfolk outing on 1st May, and it went great! We launched from Sea Palling at 10.30am on Saturday and dived the Corchester wreck. See the Galleries page for more photos and the Whats On page for details of the next trips. |

Divers Meeting
The next dive meeting is on Tuesday 8 June, 7pm at The Falcon pub on Cromer Road. This is a great opportunity to get together with fellow divers and chat about upcoming dives and activities. All welcome!

Seasearch Observer Course and Beach Clean
We are hosting a Seasearch Observer course on 19 and 20th June. This is a great course which trains you in identifying and recording the marine life you see on dives around the UK coast. Saturday is theory at the dive shop and Sunday is shore dives off Sheringham to put it into practice. Please use the Booking forms and just amend the date to 19/20th June and note you're with CSS. We're also running a beach clean at Sheringham to coincide with the dives -all welcome!

Sport Relief Mile Sunday 21 March
We did it! A team from CSS dived a mile in full scuba equipment on Sunday 21 March in aid of Sport Relief. We have already raised over £450 and are still collecting donations. Seasearch Presentation - Friday 19 February
The local Seasearch co-ordinators are giving a presentation about the project and showing a selection of their amazing photographs of marine life off the Norfolk coast at the shop on Friday 19 Feb. Free to all, but please call to book your place.

New Seal Team starting 21 February
The PADI Seal Team is the pool-based dive course for children aged 8 upwards. It includes 5 AquaMissions which cover a number of dive skills while leaving plenty of time for fun! For more information see Seal Team details. There is a new course starting on Sunday 21 Feb - please call to book. |

New for 2010 - CSS Technical diving
We are now offering a variety of technical diving courses. This starts with an introduction to Twin Sets in the pool for just £35 for those who want to find out more through to a Twin Set qualification and PADIs Tec Rec courses, qualifying you to dive to 50 metres. Next Twin Set pool night Wed 10 Feb.

Christmas Dinner success
Thank you to everyone for making the CSS Christmas Dinner a great success. Everyone had a great night and we raised over £450 for The Sharks Trust and Sea Shepherd. Congratulations to those who received special awards and thank you to everyone for making 2009 such a great year.

Congratulations to our new Instructors

Huge congratulations to David Holmes, Tom Morgan, Mariusz Wisniewski and Andrew Gillespie who all qualified as Open Water Scuba Instructors at the Gildenburgh I.E. on the 15th November. Well done guys and we look forward to seeing you teaching soon. Also, well done to Marcus who qualified as IDC Staff Instructor and helped with the IDC.
Divers Survey
We are pleased to announce that the winners of the divers survey, asking what we can do to improve our service to you, are Tom Morgan, Mel Chilvers and Vanessa Bogstrop. They suggested a number of ideas including regular beach clean-ups, a Members forum for keeping in touch, passing on tips and equipment reviews etc and ideas for the display boards in the shop. Thank you for your comments and we're looking into implementing them soon. For their efforts they have each won a £20 voucher to spend on equipment or courses from the shop. Congratulations and thank you.
Dive meeting

Stoney Cove success

Many congratulations to Jenny who had a particularly successful weekend at Stoney Cove on 12 September. Not only did she qualify as Divemaster but she also won a trip for two on a Red Sea liveaboard courtesy of Blue OTwo who were sponsoring a underwater treasure hunt there.

North Norfolk Coast Dives
We've done some great dives on the wreck of the Rosalie at Weybourne during August - a long walk along the beach but well worth it! It is so much fun to go scuba diving on your doorstep in Norfolk.

Farne Islands Dive Trip Review
The Christal Seas Scuba Farnes trip was good fun again this year, with lots of seals as well as lots of other life. We're booked in for August next year and spaces are already filling up -so please let us know if you are interested.
South Coast Dive Trip Review
The South Coast dive trip in June was a huge success with calm seas and sunshine all the way. We all had a great time and dived some amazing sites and wrecks from Porthkerris to Brighton. See the Holidays page for more details.
